A Canter for (almost) every job

For decades, the Canter has been renowned for its class leading turning circle, payload and excellent versatility in the light-duty truck sector. Making it the ideal truck for inner-city distribution, where you face many different challenges: delivery routes through narrow streets full of parked cars; heavy loads; deployment in difficult off-road terrain; or for particularly low-emission driving in green zones. FUSO now also offers the 3.5t Canter with the narrow S cabin, making it much easier to navigate those tight spaces. Available in five weight classes (3.5t to 8.55t), six wheelbases (2,500 mm to 4,750 mm), three engine output variants (130 hp to 175 hp) and three cabin variants (standard (1.7m width), comfort (2.0m) and crewcab (2.0m)). With the newly developed compact exhaust system the new FUSO Canter meets the EURO VI – STEP E emission standards.

Advanced Design

When designing a new Canter, our designers pay close attention to the interaction between the truck and the city – its context. First impressions matter: we want to achieve harmony between agility and stability; it’s all about precision and every detail is carefully thought out. The new Canter has an eye-catching redesigned cab, with integrated LED headlights available as an option, and many additonal features to improve driver comfort.

Advanced Comfort

The new Canter is designed with everyday city work in mind. Are you frequently getting in and out of the vehicle? Driving through narrow alleys? That’s no problem for the Canter – which is now even more comfortable. Thanks to improved cab insulation, the new Canter has an impressively low interior noise level. The spacious cab with good all-round visibility, low entry height and easy cross-cab access allows the driver to complete in-city manoeuvres with ease. With the auto light function, the Canter takes over the adjustment of the light for the driver an automatic air-conditioning takes comfort to the next level. The new Canter comes with a new AdBlue tank with higher capacity, and can be filled at normal petrol stations.

Advanced Safety

The new Canter is the only 7.5t truck available with Sideguard Assist as an option. Sideguard Assist detects moving vulnerable road users on the passenger side of the truck through radar sensors, and emits an alert to the driver of a possible risk of collision. New LED headlights are 30% brighter offering improved visibility. The seat belt reminder detects whether seat belts are in use in various seating positions and gives out increasingly urgent warning signals until the belts are used.

Design

Regardless of the model you choose, any vehicle in the FUSO Canter lineup features distinctive style and a level of comfort that will prove invaluable on your working days. A noise-insulated cab, for example, will ensure long journeys are not beset by a cacophony of road noise, while the low entrance means regularly getting in and out of the vehicles will not prove tiring.

There’s plenty of intelligent features to complement the comfort too, with manual or automatic air conditioning, Eco Mode, and an ergonomic arrangement that makes accessing controls effortless. With impressive levels of interior space - up to seven can be accommodated - choosing a model from the FUSO Canter range represents great commercial sense.
Performance

Providing high levels of torque at low revs, the engines in the FUSO Canter lineup can be relied upon to deliver clean and efficient motoring. What’s more, with auto start/stop functionality and an advanced exhaust emission control system, you can be confident that the Canter performs to the highest of standards.
Safety

Safety is a critical component of any modern vehicle, so knowing that the FUSO Canter lineup of trucks provides great protection will provide complete peace of mind. For example, the models all provide Hill Start Assist to help you pull away safely on an incline, while optional cruise control ensures you’re always within the limit.

The FUSO Canter 'S' Cab

Alongside a new design, comes an all-new standard (S) cab. While the comfort (C) cab measures at 2 metres wide the new 'S' cab comes in at just 1.7 metres wide, making it perfect for urban city/town distribution where you might come across width restrictions and tight turns.
